A candlelight tribute concert by the Listeso String Quartet, playing hits from Coldplay and Imagine Dragons under LED candles at the Columbus Museum of Art.
Listeso String Quartet is playing a Coldplay and Imagine Dragons tribute at the Columbus Museum of Art on Sunday, October 25. It's part of the Candlelight series, which does exactly what the name says: the music is performed under the glow of about 10,000 LED candles. The show is held in the museum's Cardinal Health Auditorium, a 350-capacity space in downtown Columbus.
The program is split between the two bands. From Coldplay, the quartet is planning 'Clocks', 'Something Just Like This', 'Adventure of a Lifetime', 'Fix You', 'The Scientist', 'feelslikeimfallinginlove', 'Viva la Vida' and 'Sky Full of Stars'. Imagine Dragons takes up the other half with 'Radioactive', 'Eyes Closed', 'Nice to Meet You', 'Follow You', 'Bad Liar' and 'Believer'. It's a tribute, not a performance by the artists themselves, so you're hearing these songs reimagined for strings rather than the original recordings.
The venue is the museum's 1931 Second Renaissance Revival building at 480 East Broad Street, which is on the National Register of Historic Places. It's a spot that mixes historic architecture with modern art collections and a sculpture garden, and the concert takes place inside the museum rather than in a traditional concert hall.
