Solo show by Jordan Caiola, formerly of the indie rock band Mo Lowda & The Humble, with support from Carriers at Rumba Cafe.
CAIOLA plays Rumba Cafe on Saturday, November 21, with Carriers opening solo. The show is presented by Celebrity Etc.
CAIOLA is the solo project of Jordan Caiola, a Philadelphia-based songwriter, musician, and producer. He's been around the indie scene for a while: he started the indie rock band Mo Lowda & The Humble back in 2010, and in 2016 he added NightSeason, an indie/electro-pop duo. He's spent years in those bands, but he's always felt that writing folk songs was his true wheelhouse. The nationwide lockdown in early 2020 gave him the time to actually record his first solo album, Only Real When Shared. It's a folk record, and it's the one that put CAIOLA out there as a solo name.
Since then, he's followed it up with This Could Be Everything, which came out August 2, 2024. It's a more mature and textural record than the first, and it's the newer material he'll be drawing from for this set. Between the two, you've got the early solo songs and the newer stuff from this past summer, so the set should pull from both. Carriers opens the night playing solo.
