Hands-on workshop with Ali Ellerbrock to make four all-natural body and skin care items with pure essential oils and organic materials.
Ali Ellerbrock is leading a botanical body products workshop at Wells Barn on Sunday, October 25, from 10 AM to 12 PM. It's held at the Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens, 1777 E. Broad Street in Columbus, and it's open to all ages, so you can bring the kids along if that's your Sunday morning vibe.
Ellerbrock is the founder of BareByAli, and she's running the whole session. The first part of the morning is about the "why" before you get to the "how": the group goes over the benefits of all-natural organic ingredients and why clean-derived essential oils matter. Once you've got the background, you move into the making. You'll curate your own skincare using 100% pure essential oils and all-natural organic materials, and you'll walk away with four items you made yourself. The list of what you can make is pretty broad—natural body scrubs, skin salves, lip scrubs, beard oils, and insect repellents are all on the table, so you can tailor the set to what you actually use. Each one gets a handmade label, and you'll pack them all into a gift bag to take home.
Every week we pick 🏆 the 5 best 🏆 things to do in Columbus and send them to your inbox. Just one weekly email, no spam.

It's a two-hour session, and it's $80, or $72 if you're a member. That covers the materials for all four products, the labels, and the bag, so you're leaving with a full haul rather than just a single jar. If you've been wanting to make your own skincare but didn't know where to start with the ingredients, this is a good way to get a handle on it in a few hours.
