All-ages show by singer-songwriter David Osterhout's project Bike Routes with support from Good Sleepy at A&R Music Bar.
Bike Routes play A&R Music Bar on Friday, December 18, with Good Sleepy opening. It's a Columbus show for a project that's been steadily adding to its catalog over the last few years.
Bike Routes is the work of David Osterhout, a singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer originally from Marlton, New Jersey. He handles the writing and recording himself, and that comes through in the sound: warm synths, sparse guitar, and rich beats. It sits at a crossroads of indie, emo, post-punk, and pop, with the synth and guitar usually taking turns in the lead. He's toured with Hawthorne Heights, so there's a live side to the project that goes beyond the studio.
There's a decent amount of material to pull from for a set. He put out his debut, Let It Go, in 2020, followed by Love Is An Action in 2022. In 2024, he released the Rush of Energy EP, which gave us "You Want It You Got It" and "World Apart" — two of the songs that have stuck with fans the most. His latest record, Prairie, came out on June 26, 2026, so this show falls well within its cycle.
