Andy Woodson Quintet

The Andy Woodson Quintet plays Ginger Rabbit Jazz Lounge on Friday, October 16, with two sets on the bill. The first runs from 7:15 to 8:45 PM, with doors opening at 6:45 PM; the second goes from 9:30 to 11 PM, with doors opening at 9 PM. Tickets are $30.

Andy Woodson has been a fixture of the Columbus music scene since 1985, and he's one of the most in-demand bassists in central Ohio. He spent fourteen years as the Lecturer of Jazz Bass at The Ohio State University, from 2004 to 2018, and has played the Montreux, North Sea, Saratoga, and Newport Jazz Festivals. He's also toured Sweden and Japan. This is a quintet, so he'll be leading a five-piece band for the night.

Ginger Rabbit Jazz Lounge is at 17 Buttles Ave, in the Short North. It's an adults-only room, ages 21 and up. With two sets on the schedule, you can catch the early one, the late one, or both. Doors open at 6:45 PM for the first set and 9 PM for the second, and tickets are $30.
