Live show by indie-folk singer-songwriter Aaron Lee Tasjan with support from Madeleine Kelson at Rumba Cafe.
Aaron Lee Tasjan plays Rumba Cafe on Friday, November 20, with Madeleine Kelson opening. Tasjan is a songwriter and performer from East Nashville, Tennessee, who has spent the last decade building a following around indie-folk storytelling and live shows. He's released six albums so far, and this stop is part of a world tour supporting his latest record, Get Over It Underdog, which came out from Blue Elan Records on July 17, 2026.
He's worked his way into some recognizable rooms over the years: Conan O'Brien, NPR's Tiny Desk, and PBS's Bluegrass Underground. On the festival circuit, he's played Newport Folk, Stagecoach, Bonnaroo, Luck Reunion, Roskilde, and End Of The Road. The industry has taken notice tooβhe earned a Grammy nomination for Best American Roots Song in 2022, and the Americana Music Association has nominated him for International Album of the Year in 2021, Song of the Year in 2022, and Best Emerging Artist in 2021. Variety named his 2024 album Stellar Evolution one of the best of that year, so Get Over It Underdog arrives with a bit of a pedigree behind it.

With six albums in the books, the set will likely pull from more than just the new material. The tour is built around Get Over It Underdog, but his catalog goes back a decade, and he's known for the storytelling that carries through his indie-folk writing. Madeleine Kelson opens the night, so you'll get two acts on the bill. Doors open at 7 PM, and the music starts at 8 PM. Tickets are $32.
