A holiday circus arts and dance show inspired by A Christmas Carol, presented by Caroline Calouche & Co.
Caroline Calouche & Co. are bringing a new holiday show, The Three Spirits, to the Booth Playhouse at Blumenthal Arts Center in Charlotte this December. It runs from Friday, December 11, through Sunday, December 13, with a handful of showtimes across the weekend.
If the name sounds familiar, it's because Calouche has been a regular part of the regional holiday scene for thirteen years. For over a decade, she's put on Clara's Trip: A Cirque & Dance Nutcracker Story, a show that blends circus arts and dance. The Three Spirits is her first all-new production, and it swaps the Nutcracker for Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol. She's reimagined the story for the modern age: through circus and dance, it follows a cold-hearted soul visited by three extraordinary spirits. It's recommended for ages 5 and up, so it works as a family outing.
