Charlotte Mecklenburg Library Community Book Sale

Charlotte Mecklenburg Library is holding one of its community book sales on Saturday, October 10, at Myers Park United Methodist Church. It runs from 9 AM to 1 PM, so it's a morning thing—get in early if you want the first pick of the tables.

The library puts these on throughout the year as a way for people to find new and gently used books for themselves or as gifts. You'll find fiction, non-fiction, and children's materials, with beach reads mixed in too. Some of these sales have special themes, but they all offer a general assortment of materials, so you can usually find a bit of everything regardless of the specific focus.

If you've got a stack of books you're ready to part with, donations of excess books are welcome. You can drop off one box or bag a day at any Charlotte Mecklenburg Library location—just make sure to bring them inside rather than leaving them outside. It's a good time to clear out your shelves before you head over to pick up something new.

The sale is at Higher Grounds in the Center of Hope, inside Myers Park United Methodist Church at 1501 Queens Road, Charlotte, NC 28201. It runs from 9 AM to 1 PM on Saturday, October 10.
