A community market where everything is free: clothes, toys, books, and shoes. Take what you need and leave what you can.
Really Really Free Market is back at the Galilee Center on Saturday, October 24, from 1 to 4 PM. The name isn't a joke: everything there is free. There's no buying, no selling, and no trading. You take what you need, and you leave what you can.
The organizers, Really Really Free Market CLT, put the whole thing together from donations of clothes, toys, books, shoes, and other household items. If you're coming to browse, you'll find a mix of those things laid out for anyone to take. If you're coming to give, they're asking for children's clothes and shoes—clean, in good repair, and sorted by size or type. It's a straightforward exchange: the things you don't need anymore become the things someone else does.
That's the core of it. You don't have to bring anything to take something home, and you don't have to take anything to leave something behind. It's a community event in the truest sense, built on people giving what they can and taking what they need, with nothing in between. If you've got a pile of kids' clothes that have been outgrown, this is a good place to put them to use.
