An evening of classic rock anthems live with light and projection show, from Led Zeppelin, Queen, Pink Floyd and more.
The Ultimate Classic Rock Show plays the Donald Gordon Theatre at the Wales Millennium Centre on Thursday 15 October, with the curtain going up at 7.30pm. It's a tribute night that pulls from a wide stretch of the classic rock era, rather than sticking to one band or one sound. The set runs through anthems from Eric Clapton, Led Zeppelin, Queen, Pink Floyd, ELO, Deep Purple, Free, AC/DC, The Eagles and Jimi Hendrix, so you'll hear a fair bit of ground covered in one sitting.
The show runs for roughly two and a half hours, with an interval in the middle. The billed approach is a high-energy roller-coaster of classic rock nostalgia, playing hit after hit with accuracy and backed by a light and projection show. It's a broad reach across the rock canon — from the bluesy lines of Clapton and Hendrix to the stadium scale of Queen and the psychedelic textures of Pink Floyd — so there's plenty to recognise regardless of where your tastes lean.
