That'll Be The Day returns with a brand-new version of the beloved festive theatre show, blending pop Christmas classics, traditional carols, comedy routines and rock 'n' roll hits from the 1950s, 60s and 70s.
That'll Be The Day are back at the New Theatre on Tuesday 24 November, bringing their Christmas show to Cardiff for one night. It's a brand-new version of the festive production they've been running for over thirty years, and the Cardiff date is one stop on a 2026 tour that takes in six venues: Truro, Kings Lynn, Cardiff, Torquay, Darlington and Stoke-on-Trent.
The show is refreshed every year, so it's not the same set you'll hear if you've seen it before. It blends pop Christmas classics and traditional carols with comedy routines and an all-new line-up of rock 'n' roll hits from the 1950s, 60s and 70s. The whole thing is played as a high-energy variety show with a real party atmosphere, so it's as much about the mood as the music.
That'll Be The Day is billed as the UK's most successful touring rock 'n' roll variety production, and the Christmas show has grown into the most popular touring production in the country, having delighted more than a million customers over the years. It's a long-running tradition that they keep updating each season, so the 2026 version will have its own set of songs and routines.
