Noise-rock and post-punk band Makeshift Art Bar performs at the Tramshed as part of the Swn Festival 2026.
Makeshift Art Bar play Tramshed on Saturday 17 October, as part of Sŵn Festival 2026. They're a noise-rock and post-punk act, so it's the kind of set that sits on the louder, more abrasive end of the festival's bill.
Sŵn is one of Cardiff's longest-running music festivals, and this is its 19th edition. It runs across the city from Thursday 15 to Saturday 17 October, with gigs spread over the three days. Head of music Adam Williams describes the line-up as filled with new music, so if you're looking for things you haven't heard before, this is a good place to start.
There's more to it than just the gigs, too. On Friday, the festival hosts Sŵn Connect, a conference aimed at industry voices and people looking to break into the music business. If you're in the city for the weekend, you can do the shows and the conference together.
