Stand-up comedy performance by Jacob Hawley on his Fighting Age Man tour at the Tramshed in Cardiff.
Jacob Hawley brings his new show, Fighting Age Man, to Tramshed on Thursday 15 October. It's one date in an 18-stop UK tour, so it's one of the few times he'll be playing Cardiff this run.
If you haven't come across him yet, Hawley is the stand-up behind The Screen Rot Podcast, and The New Statesman called him 'The Distinctly Millennial rising star of The Edinburgh Fringe'. He's got a BBC Sounds stand-up podcast, Jacob Hawley: On Drugs, and a Radio 4 Stand Up Special, Welcome To Britain. The reviews have been warm: The Sunday Post called him a 'voice of a generation' and Chortle described him as a 'down-to-earth talent'. His sets tend to look at class and identity in the modern world, so there's a bit of social observation running through the comedy.
Fighting Age Man is the new hour he's taking around the country, and the Cardiff stop is part of that 18-date tour. It's a full show, not a short set, so you've got a proper night of stand-up rather than a quick spot on a bill. If you've heard of him through the podcast or the radio specials, this is the chance to see the live version.
