A self-guided festive activity where children can decorate three Christmas biscuits at the Museum café.
National Museum Cardiff is running a cookie decorating session for kids this December, hosted in the Museum café. It's a self-guided activity, so you just turn up and get stuck in rather than following a set class. Each child gets three Christmas biscuits to decorate, which is plenty to keep them occupied for a good while.
Because it's self-guided, it's a flexible one to fit around other plans. You don't have to commit to a single time slot, and it's a low-pressure way to get the kids doing something creative without needing to set up a decorating station at home. The biscuits are provided, so you're not hauling ingredients along with you.
There are plenty of dates to choose from, so you can pick a weekend that works for you. It runs on 5 and 6 December, 12 and 13 December, 19 and 20 December, and 22 and 23 December. If you miss the December window, it carries on into the New Year with sessions on 2 and 3 January. That's a fair few options to work with, whether you want to get it sorted early in the month or wait until closer to Christmas.

It's £10 per child, and since it's in the Museum café, you can easily make a day of it with a visit to the galleries. The session is hosted by the café, so you'll be decorating right where the food is. With so many dates on the calendar, it's easy to slot in whenever suits you best.
