A tribute act to Creedence Clearwater Revival, fronted by Peter Barton, performing classic C.C.R. hits as part of their 55th Anniversary Tour.
Clearwater Creedence Revival are playing The Tramshed on Friday 26 November 2027, with the night starting at 7:00pm. They're a tribute to Creedence Clearwater Revival and the songwriting of John Fogerty, and they've billed this one '60 years of C.C.R.' — they describe themselves as the best tribute to the band around.
The show is part of their 55th Anniversary Tour, and the setlist pulls from the songs most people know. A review by Rocktopia (Giants of Rock) pointed out the vocalist's big, bearded look and gravelly voice, with 'Bad Moon Rising', 'Have You Ever Seen The Rain' and 'I Put A Spell On You' among the songs they've been playing.
What sets them apart is the line-up. They draw on road-hardened players who, between them, have performed with Stax legend Steve Cropper, Big Country, Denny Laine of Wings and the Moody Blues, Eric Haydocks of the Hollies and Animals, Alan Silson of Smokie and Wayne Fontana's Mindbenders. It's a fair bit of session history gathered under one roof.
