Bar Italia plays TramShed in Cardiff on the last day of Sŵn 2026, the city's new music festival.
Bar Italia play TramShed on Saturday 17 October, the final night of Sŵn 2026. It's a rock and alternative set, and it falls on the Saturday of a festival that's been running across Cardiff city centre from Thursday 15 to Saturday 17 October.
Sŵn is a multi-venue music festival that's been based in the city centre since 2007. It focuses on new music, emerging artists and homegrown acts, and DIY has described it as a bastion of 'fearless programming' — it's also picked up praise from The Guardian, NME, Clash and The Line of Best Fit. This is the festival's 19th edition, returning in a beefed-up format of three full days of programming across the city.
For the third year running, Sŵn forms part of the Cardiff Music City Festival, which also includes Llais and the Welsh Music Prize. Alongside the music, the Sŵn Connect conference runs at Cornerstone on the Friday, and the festival offers payment plans, concession tickets and a volunteer programme. Bar Italia's show at TramShed is one of the many acts that make up the weekend.
