A tribute band recreates the look, sound and guitars of Arctic Monkeys, playing their debut album front to back before a second set of best hits.
Arctic Numpties are playing Tramshed on Saturday 24 October, a show built around the 20th anniversary of Arctic Monkeys' debut album. They're a tribute act from Sheffield, the same city the original band came from, and they describe themselves as the world's most authentic tribute to them. The line-up brings together four of the northwest's most experienced musicians, and they've set out to recreate the Sheffield icons' look, sound and guitars.
The night is split into two distinct halves. The first set is the debut album played front to back, so you'll hear the whole record in one go. After the interval, they move on to a second set of best hits from the records that followed, which should cover a good deal of the later material. It's a long night of music, and the two-set format means you get the early stuff in its own space before the later hits take over.

They've built a reputation for getting the crowd moving, and The Guardian once wrote that they 'whip up the audience into such a crowd-surfing frenzy'. If that's your kind of night, this is where you'll find it. The show starts at 7:00 PM at Tramshed on Clare Road, and tickets are £21.55, which includes the booking fee.
