The Proclaimers, twin brothers Craig and Charlie Reid, play their classic hits with support from Amelia Coburn at the Cambridge Corn Exchange.
The Proclaimers are back at the Cambridge Corn Exchange on Tuesday 3 November, their first date in the city since their last world tour wrapped up. It's a double bill, with Amelia Coburn supporting.
For those who only know the big ones, the duo are twin brothers Craig and Charlie Reid. They first made their mark with their debut album This Is The Story and the Top 3 single 'Letter from America', and their songs have since turned up in a fair few different places — played at weddings and funerals alike, and earning Gold and Platinum sales across the UK, USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. They also inspired the musical, play and film Sunshine on Leith, which was the fifth-highest-grossing independent UK film of 2013. On BBC Radio 4's Desert Island Discs, David Tennant described them as probably his favourite band of all time.
This show comes after a long break. Their last run was the 14-month 'Dentures Out' world tour, which finished back in August 2023. The set they're playing now runs the classic hits alongside material from their forthcoming album, so you'll hear the old songs alongside the new. It's a sold-out show, with Amelia Coburn opening the night.
