The Amy Winehouse Band, fronted by vocalist Bronte Shandé, play 'Back to Black' in full on their 20th anniversary tour.
The Amy Winehouse Band play the Cambridge Corn Exchange on Sunday 29 November, as part of their 2026 anniversary tour. The set is built around Back to Black performed in full, with other Winehouse classics added in. It's a long-overdue look back at the record that turned her into a global cultural force and earned her five GRAMMY Awards at the 2008 ceremony, making her the first British woman to win that many in one night.
There's a specific reason this isn't just another tribute act. The Amy Winehouse Band were Amy's original band, the one that played behind her from her earliest London pub gigs through to her meteoric rise. The line-up includes musicians who toured and recorded with her, led by her long-time musical director and bass player Dale Davis. For this tour, they're fronted by vocalist Bronte Shandé, and the show runs with onscreen visuals. They describe it as the only completely authentic reimagining of her sound, which makes sense when you consider the people on stage were there for the real thing.
Back to Black came out in 2006, so this tour marks twenty years since it first landed. It's the record most people know her by, and hearing it played through from start to finish puts its influence in perspective. The addition of other classics means the night doesn't stop at that one album, so you'll get a broader run of her songs alongside the full sequence.
