Stand-up show by Scottish comedian Larry Dean, self-described as 'emotionally feral', about refusing to grow up.
Larry Dean is back at Cambridge Junction on Tuesday 17 November with his new show, Hellbent. He'll be performing in the J2 room, which is unreserved seating, so you'll want to get in early if you've got a particular spot in mind.
Hellbent is a riotous show about refusing to grow up, and the title fits the premise. Dean describes himself as recently married but still "emotionally feral", and that's where the comedy comes from: the gap between the adult life he's supposed to be leading and the one he's actually living. He blends raw energy with musicality, so it's not just a stand-up set — there's a musical element woven in.
If you're not familiar with him, he goes by "The Gallus Glaswegian Goon" and was named Scottish Comedian of the Year in 2013. He's a cast member of SNL UK and has appeared on Live at the Apollo, QI and The Royal Variety Performance. He's also a prolific writer of his own shows; Hellbent follows a long string of them, including Dodger, Fudnut, Farcissist, Fandan, Bampot and Work In Progress.
