Stand-up show by Australian comedian Grace Jarvis, recommended for ages 16 and over.
Grace Jarvis brings her new hour, Getting Dragged Backwards Through a Hedge, to Cambridge Junction on Saturday 14 November. It's a solo stand-up show, and she describes herself as Australian comedy's number one autistic glamourpuss.
If you haven't come across her yet, the hour is built around her trademark oddball stand-up — the kind of set that tends to wander into the strange rather than sticking to the usual observational beats. It's a new show, so you'll be seeing the material fresh rather than a polished version that's been touring for years. The title alone gives you a fair idea of the sort of territory she's likely to cover.
She's coming over from Australia with a bit of momentum behind her. Last year, Rolling Stone named her one of the twelve must-see comedy shows at the Edinburgh Fringe, and she spent part of that same year touring as support for Aunty Donna. The critics have been pretty clear about where she sits: one called her 'one of the smartest and funniest comedians coming up in Australia right now', while another described her as 'a refreshing and unique perspective in amongst an ocean of generic stand-up'.

The show is recommended for ages 16 and over, so it's not one to bring the kids along to. It starts at 7:30 PM in J3, which is unreserved seating, so if you're particular about where you sit, it's worth getting there a bit early. Tickets are £17.00.
