Dexy's Midnight Runners play the historic Cambridge Corn Exchange with hits like 'Come On Eileen'.
Dexy's Midnight Runners play the Cambridge Corn Exchange on Friday 30 October, starting at 7:00 pm. It's a late October date for a band that's been around long enough to have a few different eras to draw from.
They formed in Birmingham in 1978 and built their sound by blending Northern soul, pop rock and Celtic folk — a mix that gave them hits like 'Come On Eileen' and 'Geno'. Since then, their discography has run from those early singles through to full albums, including Let the Record Show in 2016, The Feminine Divine in 2023, and Love, which came out this year. With a new record out, there's fresh material to hear alongside the older songs.

The Cambridge Corn Exchange is a Grade II listed venue on 2 Wheeler Street, CB2 3QB. It opened in 1875 as a Gothic Revival corn exchange and now holds up to 1,870 people, so it's a fair-sized room for a night like this. The show starts at 7:00 pm on Friday 30 October.
