Orchestral show in which The Hounds of Love reimagine Kate Bush's songs with a live band and an 18-piece orchestra.
The Hounds of Love are bringing Classically Kate Bush to the Cambridge Corn Exchange on Saturday 12 December, a night that reimagines Kate Bush's songs in full orchestral arrangements. The show is performed by The Hounds of Love, who describe themselves as leading interpreters of her songbook. They'll be backed by a live band and an 18-piece orchestra, so the songs you know from record are played out with a full string and wind section behind them.
The set draws from her era-defining songs, with Cloudbusting, Hounds of Love, Babooshka, Wuthering Heights and Running Up That Hill (A Deal with God) among the titles. The Hounds of Love say the show honours both Bush's experimental spirit and the classical influences that run through her catalogue, and they bill it as a rare chance to hear her music live with an 18-piece orchestra. It's a fair point to make: Bush herself is a famously rare live performer, and her resurgence reached a new peak when Stranger Things propelled Running Up That Hill back into the charts worldwide.

The night forms part of Hounds Of Love - The Kate Bush Celebration, which sets out to celebrate the music and the story of the artist. The Hounds of Love are the ones taking the lead on that, bringing the songs to the stage with the orchestra rather than as a tribute act in the usual sense. The Corn Exchange is on 2 Wheeler Street, Cambridge CB2 3QB, and the show starts at 7:30pm. Tickets are £35.00 to £45.50, including the booking fee.
