Strictly 18+ night of modern bingo with music, karaoke, dance-offs and prizes at Cambridge Junction.
Bongo's Bingo is coming to Cambridge Junction on Saturday 19 December, and it's a strictly 18+ night. If you've never come across it, the name is a bit of a decoy. It's bingo in the sense that there are numbers called and prizes to be won, but the bingo is just the frame for everything else. The whole thing is built around a mix of riotous fun, music, crazy prizes, en masse karaoke, rave rounds, and dance-offs. You'll also likely spot the odd pink unicorn and a Henry Hoover making an appearance along the way. It's been described as one of the UK's most bonkers, surreal and energetic nights, and that's a fair summary of what you're getting into.
There's a bit of history to it, too. Bongo's Bingo started as an idea between two friends in Liverpool back in 2015, and the organisers say it's rejuvenated the quintessentially quaint game of bingo for a new generation. Co-founder and original host Jonny Bongo said they were mega hyped to move to a new Cambridge location after more than two years of shows at the Corn Exchange, and the format has since landed in more than 55 UK locations. This one is at J1 in the Junction, so it's right in the heart of the city.

It's a late one, too. Doors open at 6pm, the show starts at 8pm, and the curfew is 11.30pm, so you've got a good window to get settled before things kick off. Tickets start from £23, and since it's strictly 18+, you'll need to bring ID. If you're looking for a night that's more about the chaos than the bingo, this is probably your sort of thing.
