Stand-up comedy show by Tom Davis, drawing on his character work and observational comedy.
Tom Davis brings his new stand-up tour, Spudgun, to Beacon Hall on Sunday 25 October. It's a brand new show, and he's back on the road with it, so this is one of the dates he's taking it across the country.
If you've followed his work, you'll recognise the threads he's pulling from. He draws on the character work and observational comedy of Murder in Successville and King Gary, and there's also the influence of Wolf and Owl, the podcast he does with Romesh Ranganathan. The Times described him as 'a big lad with a big heart', and pointed to the undiluted appeal of his delivery and stage persona — that's a good way to sum up what he brings to the room.
It's a stand-up show, so the night is built around him on stage with a microphone. The show is presented by Off the Kerb Production and Bristol Beacon, and it's standing only, which gives you a sense of the room. It's recommended for ages 14 and over.
