Stand-up comedy night hosted by Burt Williamson at Basement 45, featuring a fresh line-up of comedians every Saturday.
The Hedgehog Comedy Club is back at Basement 45 on Saturday 24 October, with Burt Williamson hosting. It's one of Bristol's independent Saturday night comedy clubs, run by Williamson himself — a comedian, improviser and producer who's a familiar face at the Edinburgh Fringe. He'll be the one steering the night, and he's as much a part of the draw as the line-up he puts together.
Williamson's style is a mix of quick crowd work, sharply written punchlines and enthusiastic sarcasm, all held together by an unpredictably likeable stage presence. Entertainment Now described him as 'the funniest, most unlikely, rudest yet sweetest'. If you've seen him before, you'll know he doesn't just introduce the acts; he's right in the thick of it, working the room and keeping things moving.
The club runs every single Saturday, and each night brings a fresh line-up. He draws from a wide pool — TV names, local legends and club classics — so the bill changes from week to week. It's strictly over-18s, and the seating is unreserved and fills from the front, which means if you want a good spot, it's worth getting in early. The venue is Basement 45, at 8 Frogmore Street, BS1 5NA, a small basement that keeps the whole thing feeling close and focused.

Tickets are £12.50, and the show runs from 7 pm to 9 pm, with doors opening at 6:15 pm. If you're planning to grab a drink or a bite nearby first, that gives you plenty of time to get settled before the first act takes the stage.
