A grassroots festival of radical politics, arts and culture with talks, panels and discussions on social change and alternative futures.
Bristol Transformed returns to the Trinity Centre on 22 and 23 May 2027, running across two days. It's a grassroots festival of radical politics, arts and culture, and the whole thing is run by volunteers. The programme is built around talks, panels and discussions on social change, bringing together activists, trade unionists, thinkers and organisers to talk about how society can be reshaped for the better.
Across those two days, the festival opens up space for critical thinking, debate and collective learning. The sessions are rooted in grassroots values and contemporary issues, and they're aimed at anyone who wants to engage with big questions, exchange ideas and imagine alternative futures together. It's as much about listening and learning as it is about the debate itself.
What's worth knowing is that Bristol Transformed doesn't stop when the festival ends. Its socialist education runs all year round through workshops, reading and discussion groups, social events and book launches. The organisation also launched the 'Bristol Apartheid-Free Zone' campaign at the 2024 festival, which has grown in the years since.
