An international salsa and bachata festival featuring daytime workshops and high-energy social parties with live music and performances.
Bristol Salsa Congress returns to the Trinity Centre from Friday 15 to Sunday 17 January 2027. It's an international salsa and bachata festival that brings together dancers, artists and music lovers from across the UK and beyond, and the weekend runs on two tracks: daytime workshops led by world-class instructors covering a range of salsa and bachata styles and levels, and nightly social parties with DJs, live music and shows by international and local performers.
The organisers make a point of bringing live music to the UK, and the 2027 edition will host Cuba Libre Son Band, performing here for the first time. That's the main draw this year, so if you're coming for the live music, that's the one to keep in mind. The rest of the weekend follows the usual pattern: workshops by day and social dancing by night, with the parties running through to Sunday.

There are a few ways to do it. The Earlybird pass is £105, but there are only 50 of those available, so they'll go quickly. If you're in for the whole thing, the three-night party pass is £100. You can also pick and choose: Friday's party is £50, Saturday's is £50, and Sunday's is £25. If you want the workshops too, there's a Saturday all-day pass for £75 and a Sunday all-day pass for £75. Tickets are non-refundable and no physical ticket is issued; you just show proof of payment and give your full name on arrival to get your wristband. And one small thing to remember: bring your own water bottle.
