A calm, focused writing space where attendees can work on their own writing projects with unlimited self-service tea and coffee.
The Write Space is running at Ironworks Studios on Wednesday mornings throughout July, with sessions on the 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd and 29th. It's a calm, focused space to get writing done, and the pitch is straightforward: no workshops and no pressure, just time and space to work on whatever you're currently tackling alongside other writers.
That's the main thing to keep in mind here. There's no structured programme, no prompts, and no one coming around to critique your work. You bring your own laptop or notebook and spend the morning on your own project — a novel, poetry, essays, scripts or coursework — while other people do the same around you. It's less of a class and more of a dedicated slot in the week for the kind of work that usually gets pushed aside by everything else.
It runs as a summer series on Wednesday mornings, from 11:00 to 13:00, and if it proves popular, the organisers expect to keep it going into the autumn. You can drop in for a single session or make a habit of it across the month. There's also unlimited self-service tea and coffee on hand, so you've got the caffeine sorted for the full two hours.

Each session costs £8, and you'll find it at Ironworks Studios, 30 Cheapside, Brighton, BN1 4GD. If you've been struggling to find a quiet window to actually sit down and write, this is a low-stakes way to carve one out.
