A unique live immersive game of secrets, alliances and betrayal set in the historic Preston Manor, inspired by social deduction games like Werewolf and The Traitors.
The Slayers is a live social deduction game running at Preston Manor on the 3rd, 10th and 24th of October, from 6:30pm to 9:30pm. It's an original production by the team behind Pier Pressure Escape Rooms, who've set it inside one of the city's most reputedly haunted houses. The game casts you as a member of an ancient Council of Vampire Slayers, tasked with deciding the fate of the world while rooting out the vampires who've infiltrated your ranks. The challenges take place in the drawing room, and then the group moves to the dining room to deliberate and vote.
Pier Pressure describe it as a social deduction game, and the influences they list give you a good sense of what that means. It draws from Blood on the Clocktower, Werewolf, The Traitors, Secret Millionaire and Taskmaster – so you're looking at a mix of hidden roles, bluffing, and a bit of a game-show element. The whole thing is run by North Laine-based Pier Pressure, founded by Phil and Philly Harris, in partnership with Brighton and Hove Museums.
