A painting workshop where participants paint a highland cow under the guidance of The Paint Club.
The Paint Club is hosting a highland cow painting workshop at ASK Italian on Tuesday 22 September, from 19:00 to 21:00. It's one of those mid-week evenings that takes a few hours out of your Tuesday, so it's more of a proper night out than a quick drop-in.
The subject for the session is a highland cow, those shaggy-coated cattle with the long horns. If you've never painted one before, that's exactly who the workshop is for. You'll spend the two hours working your way through the painting, with the club providing the guidance to get you there. It's a guided session, so you're not just left to figure it out on your own; you'll be led through the process step by step, which is the whole point of these things.
By the time the two hours are up, you'll have your own finished painting to take home. Whether you've spent years doodling or haven't picked up a brush since school, the format is the same for everyone in the room. You start with a blank canvas and end with a highland cow, and you don't need to bring any of your own kit.
