Monthly clubnight with funk, soul, house and electro music from Offie Mag DJs at A L P H A B E T.
The Offie Mag Social returns to A L P H A B E T on Friday 28 August, the latest edition of the monthly clubnight run by OFFIE MAG. It's still a relatively new addition to the city's nightlife, and it's held at A L P H A B E T, a small independent venue on Dyke Road that's built its name on a high-quality sound system. If you've been before, you'll know the room is on the smaller side, which is exactly why the sound system matters so much when the bass starts to kick in.
The whole thing is built around a simple idea: really good music you can actually dance to. The DJs pull from funk, soul, house, deep house, electro, and footwork, and they're not afraid to throw in whatever else feels right in the moment. It's a broad enough reach that you'll hear plenty of familiar ground, but it's the way they blend those styles that keeps it from feeling like a predictable set. The booth is shared between residents, friends, and the occasional special guest, so the energy shifts throughout the night rather than sticking to one mood.

It's strictly over-18s, with the DJs starting at 10:30pm. If you're planning to head down, it's worth getting your tickets in advance: they guarantee entry before 11:30pm, and since previous nights have sold out, it's the only way to be sure you'll get through the door. Tickets are ยฃ11.33, and the night runs from 10:30pm onwards at A L P H A B E T, 11 Dyke Road, BN1 3FE.
