A contemporary music concert by The Full Circle Quartet, blending jazz, classical and soundtrack influences in the historic setting of St Paul's Church.
The Full Circle Quartet play St Paul's Church on Saturday 24 October, with the music starting at 7pm. It's a contemporary concert from a South of England ensemble that plays its own brand of self-penned and self-arranged music, drawing on jazz, classical and soundtrack writing.
The group was conceived by bandleader and double bassist Terry Pack, a session musician and composer with nearly 50 years of professional playing experience. He's joined by saxophonist Josephine Davies, who was voted Jazz Instrumentalist of the Year at the 2019 Parliamentary Jazz Awards, and Joss Peach, a BAFTA Award-winning television composer. On drums is Angus Bishop. Together they've released the studio albums Same Sky, their third, and Open Water.
Beyond the quartet, they also front an expanded project called The Sidewinders — also known as Joss Peach's Sidewinders — which adds a horn section to the sound. The core four are the ones taking the stage at St Paul's, so it's the quartet's own writing and arranging you'll hear.
