A fast-paced solo thriller theatre show about a conspiracy theory podcast gone wrong, written and performed by Kathryn Mincer, presented as part of the Brighton Fringe Festival 2026.
The Brighton Fringe is always a highlight, and if you're looking for something sharp and quick this May, keep an eye out for The Final Episode. This is a solo thriller show written and performed by Kathryn Mincer, who has some serious credentials, having been recognized at the Toronto International Women's Film Festival back in 2022. The premise sounds right up the alley for anyone into modern thrillers: it centers on a conspiracy theory podcast that spirals out of control, eventually revealing a hidden truth. It’s been described as sitting "somewhere between a true-crime podcast, a late-night spiral, and a thriller you can't quite shake," which suggests a fast-paced, intense experience.

You can catch this show during the opening weekend of the Fringe, running from Friday, May 1st, through Sunday, May 3rd, 2026. All three performances are scheduled for 7:00 pm, making it a good option for an early evening slot before dinner or drinks. The venue is the familiar The Lantern Theatre, located at 77 St James's Street. Knowing the show is only 45 minutes long makes it easy to fit into a busy Fringe schedule without committing your whole evening.
Tickets are reasonably priced, which is always a bonus during the festival. General admission is listed at £7.00, with Standard and Concession tickets available for £5.00. If you're planning on bringing younger theatre fans, the show has a recommended minimum age of 12+. It’s also worth noting for accessibility planning that the final performance on Sunday, May 3rd, will include BSL interpretation.
