Electropop duo Sylvan Esso present their new album 'Ow' at the shop.
Sylvan Esso are playing Resident Music on Sunday 20 September, their first Brighton date in a while. It's an album launch show, and the record they're bringing with them is called Ow.
It's been four years since their last one, and they've spent that time writing this. They describe Ow as a record in which they experiment and improvise, and you can hear that on the first single, 'Hot Slob'. It's a bit of a shift from what they've done before, so the set will lean on the new material.
Sylvan Esso are an electropop duo, and the show is presented by Resident Music, which holds 180 people. It's open to all ages, so it's as much a family outing as a night out with friends. The set runs from 18:00 to 20:00, which puts it in the early evening rather than late at night.
