Story Magic

If you are looking for something to do with little ones in Brighton this summer, the theatre company Fideri Fidera is running a series of sessions called Story Magic at Komedia Brighton. These workshops are designed for children between 9 months and 5 years old, focusing on exploring children's stories through a mix of music, movement, puppetry, and songs. The sessions are led by Natasha (Tashi) and Jack, who bring their background in children's theatre and workshop facilitation to the space.

The sessions take place on Fridays, with two time slots available: 10:00 am and 11:00 am. Each session lasts 40 minutes. The venue for these workshops is the Komedia Studio. It is worth noting that access is via the rear entrance on Regent Street (BN1 1UL), rather than the main Gardner Street entrance, which remains closed for this specific activity. Doors open ten minutes before each session starts, at 9:50 am for the first group and 10:50 am for the second.

Regarding the practical side, the cost is £7.50 per child, with a reduced rate of £3.50 for siblings. Adults and babies under 9 months old can attend for free. While booking in advance is recommended to secure a spot, the organisers do allow for drop-in attendance if there is space available on the day. The schedule for the summer of 2026 includes dates on 5, 12, and 19 June, followed by 3, 10, 17, 24, and 31 July.
