Children's theatre storytelling session by Fideri Fidera with songs, nursery rhymes, games and puppets for children from 9 months to 4 years.
Fideri Fidera are bringing Story Magic to Komedia on Friday 23 October, and they're not just stopping there — the session runs every Friday through to 18 December, with dates on 6, 13, and 20 November, and 4, 11, and 18 December. It's a children's theatre storytelling session run by Natasha and Jack, and it's aimed at the little ones, from 9 months up to 5 years.
Each 40-minute session opens up a children's story and fills it with original songs, classic nursery rhymes, games and puppets. The whole thing is built around building confidence and sharing storytelling magic with the youngest in the room, and it's recommended for children aged 9 months to 4 years, with babies under 9 months and accompanying adults admitted free. It's a regular thing rather than a one-off, so if you've got a toddler, you can make a habit of it across the autumn and winter.
The show has picked up some strong critical praise along the way. One reviewer called the energy 'staggering' and described the company as 'the most gifted story-teller I've ever seen', while another noted that it 'captivates even the youngest of children'. If you're used to the usual children's theatre, that's a good idea of what to expect: high energy and a real focus on keeping the smallest ones engaged.

There are two sessions every Friday, one at 10:00 and one at 11:00, each running for 40 minutes. Tickets are £7.50, with a sibling discount that brings it down to £4, and accompanying adults go free — there's a 25p booking fee on top. It's held in the Komedia Studio at Komedia, 44-47 Gardner Street, BN1 1UN, but there's a practical detail to keep in mind: the usual Gardner Street entrance won't be in operation, so you're asked to arrive at the Regent Street entrance, BN1 1UL.
