A magical autumn story journey for little witches and wizards at Theatre Royal Brighton, where children follow a secret trail, make a magic wand and cast a spell.
The Fairy Preservation Society are back at Theatre Royal with Autumn Spells, running on Tuesday 27 and Wednesday 28 October. It's a half-term Halloween treat for 4-7 year olds and their grown-ups, and it's less a seated show and more of an activity.
Young witches and wizards follow a secret trail around the theatre, making a magic wand, drinking a special potion, casting a spell, and listening to a seasonal story about witches and fairy folk. It's designed for the younger end of the scale, so it's a good one if you've got little ones who'd rather be doing something than sitting still. The whole thing is built around that trail, so you'll be moving through the building rather than staying in one seat.
There are a few practical things to keep in mind before you book. Both adults and children need a ticket, and all children must be accompanied by an adult. The route around the building includes stairs, so it's worth knowing that if you're thinking about accessibility. Doors open five minutes before the start, so there's no need to arrive too early.

Tickets are £13.50 each, and with the two dates falling in the middle of the October half-term, it's a handy one to slot in when the kids are off school. The Fairy Preservation Society are the ones behind it, and Autumn Spells is the title.
