If you are looking for something to do with the little ones this April, the Komedia is hosting a series of sessions called Story Magic. It is run by the theatre company Fideri Fidera, and the focus is on music, movement, and storytelling for children aged 9 months to 4 years. The sessions are designed to last about 40 minutes, which is usually a manageable timeframe for that age group. Each session centres around a specific children's book, incorporating original songs, classic rhymes, games, and puppets to bring the story to life.

The sessions are scheduled for Friday mornings throughout April and May 2026, specifically on the 3rd, 10th, 17th, and 24th of April, followed by the 1st and 8th of May. There are two time slots available each day, at 10:00 and 11:00. It is worth noting that the doors open 10 minutes before each session starts. The event takes place in the Komedia Studio, which is located at the back of the venue. If you are heading there, keep in mind that you will need to use the entrance on Regent Street, as the main Gardner Street entrance is not being used for these sessions.

Regarding the logistics, the cost is £7.50 per child, though some sources list it at £7.00, and there is a small booking fee of 25p. If you have more than one child attending, there is a sibling rate of £3.50. Adults and babies under 9 months old can attend for free. The sessions are led by performers, with names like Natasha (or Tashi) and Jack appearing in the schedules. While the primary age range is 9 months to 4 years, some information suggests it can accommodate up to 5 years, so it is a fairly flexible window for toddlers and preschoolers. It is generally recommended to book in advance to secure a spot, given the nature of these smaller, interactive sessions.
