A community walk exploring nature, singing and wellbeing, ending with apple juice in Home Farm Orchard.
SongPath Walk comes to Stanmer House on Sunday 25 October, from 13:30 to 15:30. It's a community walk through Stanmer Park that brings together nature, singing and wellbeing, and it's led by singer Joanna Harries, who co-founded it.
The walk is part of the Brighton Early Music Festival, which started in 2002 and is one of the UK's largest and most progressive early music festivals. It's dedicated to making music from the past 1,000 years relevant to today's audiences, and this particular walk rounds off the festival as an event for the whole community. The singing happens as you move through the park, so you don't need to be a trained singer to join in.
The route ends with a glass of apple juice in Home Farm Orchard, provided by the Brighton Permaculture Trust. It's a good way to spend a Sunday afternoon if you're after something that combines a bit of fresh air with music, and it's open to all ages. The walk runs from 13:30 to 15:30, so you'll be back home well before tea.
