London-based riot grrrl punk band Sisters of Hysteria perform live at The Pipeline in Brighton, with special guests Bitchin' Hour, Fatecrimes and Armorica.
Sisters of Hysteria play The Pipeline on Friday 2 October, bringing their London-based riot grrrl punk to Brighton. They're the main feature of the night, and they've put together a full bill around them, so it's more of a proper night of music than a single set. The support comes from Bitchin' Hour, a band that blurs the lines between girly pop and metal, and Fatecrimes, a soulful, shouty rock duo from Brighton who've been generating noise complaints since 2024. Armorica, a rock band from across the seas, joins in too.
Sisters of Hysteria describe themselves as a feminist and queer riot grrrl goth punk act, and they list Amyl and The Sniffers, The Pretty Reckless and PJ Harvey as influences. That gives you a fair idea of where they sit: the raw, high-energy punk of the Sniffers, the heavy riffs of The Pretty Reckless, and the art-rock edge of PJ Harvey. It's a loud, political, and queer-led sound, and with three support acts on the bill, the whole evening stays in that rough-and-ready rock territory.

The Pipeline is at 6 Little East Street, BN1 1HT. Doors open at 7:30pm, and the first act starts at 7:45pm, so it's a relatively early start. Tickets are £8.50 in advance and £10 on the door, and the show is open to all ages, with under-18s needing to be accompanied by an adult.
