Superfriends are playing The Pipeline on Thursday 5 November, part of their King Of The Moths tour. The night is presented by How To Make Friends and is for over-18s only.
They're touring the new record, King Of The Moths, which they describe as a decidedly darker set of songs than their previous work. The lyrics deal with endings, new beginnings and growing up in your thirties, and they've put the sound somewhere between Jeff Rosenstock and The Mountain Goats — so expect a bit of that high-energy, wordy indie punk rather than anything too polished.
Support comes from Fern Veh, a collaborative indie project led by Ada Gilfoyle. It draws on bedroom pop, post-rock and early 2000s indie rock, with Gilfoyle citing Broken Social Scene, Carissa's Weird, The World Is a Beautiful Place & Other Disaster, Foxing and Sufjan Stevens as influences. There's also a local support act to be announced.

The night runs from 19:00 to 23:00, with Fern Veh taking the stage at 20:30 and Superfriends following at 21:30. Tickets are £10 for general admission and £5 for low income. The Pipeline is at 6 Little East Street, BN1 1HT.
