The sessions are held at the Rare Thing venue, located in Brighton (BN1 1HR). Each workshop lasts for four hours, typically running from 12:00 to 16:00. Because of insurance requirements, all participants must be at least 16 years old. The groups are usually kept small, with four to six people, though they can accommodate larger groups if you arrange it in advance. It is worth noting that they provide an allowance for a light lunch, so if you have any dietary requirements like being vegetarian or vegan, you should let them know beforehand. They also provide tea, coffee, and snacks throughout the session.
Regarding the logistics, the cost is £95 per person, which covers all the necessary materials, including the recycled silver. If you are planning to attend, they recommend wearing closed-toe shoes and avoiding long, loose sleeves for safety reasons while working with the tools. The workshop is scheduled on several dates throughout the summer of 2026, specifically on May 31, June 14, June 26 (a Friday), July 12, July 26, August 9, and August 23. If your plans change, you can reschedule or cancel for a full refund up to 14 days before the event, though this policy does not apply to gift bookings.
