Alternative band Shugi live at The Pipeline, with support from Benchy & The Gazers, BADSTUNT and MONKEYGUn.
Shugi are playing The Pipeline on Wednesday 29 July, with three support acts opening for them. They're a Brighton-based alternative band, and this is a local show for them, so it's a good chance to catch them on home turf.
They're known for an electrifying live sound, and the support line-up brings a fair bit of variety to the bill. Benchy & The Gazers and MONKEYGUn both work with a shoegaze influence, so if you're into that wall-of-sound, hazy guitar thing, you've got two bands on the same night that lean into it. BADSTUNT sit closer to alternative and indie, which keeps the evening from staying in one place for too long.
Between the four of them, the night covers a decent stretch of alternative guitar music, from the more atmospheric shoegaze end to the more direct indie side of things. Shugi take the headline spot, with Benchy & The Gazers, BADSTUNT and MONKEYGUn filling out the rest of the bill.
