An after-hours artist showcase at Resident Music featuring Brighton musician Maximilian and his band to celebrate new music, with proceeds donated to Mind in Brighton & Hove.
This Monday, 2nd March, Resident Music is hosting one of their 'Resident Lock In' sessions after the shop closes for the day. The evening features Brighton-based musician Maximilian and his band, marking the release of his new music. If you’ve heard his debut album, Surrender, released through Crafting Room Recordings, you’ll already be familiar with his style of poetic lyrics and immersive guitar sounds. It is a chance to see him perform right on the shop floor at 28 Kensington Gardens, which usually makes for a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere among the record stacks.

The session runs from 18:30 to 20:30, making it a fairly early evening event. Tickets are priced at £5.00, and all the proceeds from these sales are being donated to Mind in Brighton & Hove to support their mental health work in the local area. The shop has a capacity of 180 people for the night, and since it is an all-ages event, the environment is generally quite inclusive. They will also be serving beers exclusively from North Garden Brewery during the showcase. It is a straightforward way to hear some local music in a familiar setting while contributing to a local charity.
