After-hours artist showcase with live music from Nina Winder-Lind at Resident Music, with proceeds going to Mind in Brighton & Hove.
Nina Winder-Lind plays Resident Music on Tuesday 1 September, as part of the shop's 'Lock In' series. It's an after-hours showcase staged right on the shopfloor between the record racks, and Winder-Lind is a Brighton-based Swedish songwriter, poet and multi-instrumentalist. Resident were early supporters of her band, The New Eves, and first heard her songs live in the shop, so this is a return to the room where they first encountered her work.
She's playing solo this time, and the set draws from her debut solo album. It carries the same raw intensity and liberatory spirit as the band, but opens up a more intimate, personal side to her songwriting. If you're familiar with The New Eves, it's the same voice and energy, just stripped back and turned inwards.
The night is open to all ages, and there'll be beers from North Garden Brewery available. All proceeds from ticket sales go to Mind in Brighton & Hove, the charity that promotes good mental health across the city and Sussex.
