Celebrate Record Store Day 2026 at Resident Music with exclusive vinyl releases and a free-entry event on a first come, first served basis.
Record Store Day is returning to Brighton on Saturday, 18 April 2026, with Resident Music hosting the event at their shop on 28 Kensington Gardens. The day is dedicated to the culture of vinyl records, and the shop will be open from 08:00 until 19:00. Entry to the shop is free, and the organisers are managing access on a first come, first served basis. Because of this, the shop suggests that visitors plan their arrival accordingly, as the store will be monitoring demand and providing updates via their website regarding the preparations for the day. It is an event open to all ages, welcoming anyone interested in the music or the specific releases scheduled for the date.

Regarding the stock, Resident Music has confirmed several exclusive titles that will be available only in the physical shop starting at 08:00. The list includes The Live Album (RSD 2026) by Neil Young & The Chrome Hearts, priced at £53, and the Tanita Tikaram (Acoustic) vinyl, which is available for £25. Other releases include Hollie Cook’s Shy Girl in Dub! at £31, a picture disc of Then by The Charlatans for £27, and the War Child edition of The Original Fleetwood Mac for £29. To ensure a fair distribution of these limited items, the shop has set a purchase limit of one unit per customer for each of these specific products.
If any of these exclusive items remain after the event concludes on Saturday, they will be moved to the online store. The online sale for any remaining stock is scheduled to begin at 20:00 on Monday, 20 April. The shop uses its online calendar and product pages to keep track of these details, which serves as the primary source of information for those looking to see what is being prepared. Whether you are a regular visitor to the shop or someone looking for a specific release, the structure of the day remains consistent, focusing on the availability of these limited editions within the shop environment.
