Stand-up show by comedian Rajiv Karia about aspirations and the experience of becoming a Brown Uncle, for ages 18 and over.
Rajiv Karia brings his stand-up show Man Alive! to The Caroline of Brunswick on Friday 27 November, with doors opening at 19:30 and the show starting at 19:45. It's a night of comedy centred on aspirations and the experience of becoming a Brown Uncle, so it's as much about family and getting older as it is about the punchlines.
Karia is a stand-up and an actor, and he's probably best known for creating the BAFTA-nominated Zoners for BBC Three, as well as starring as one of the leads in the sitcom Content. He was shortlisted for the BBC Radio 4 Comedy Award in 2019 and has appeared on Comedy Central Live, Evil Genius with Russell Kane, and One Person Found This Helpful. Critics have described him as spontaneous, astute and observant, with strong writing and a warm stage presence — the kind of description that suggests a set that's as much about the storytelling as the jokes.
