Indie-rock band Picture Parlour performs live at The Green Door Store, featuring support from Aimée Fatale and tracks from their debut album 'The Parlour'.
On Wednesday, 22nd April, Picture Parlour are heading to The Green Door Store as part of their latest tour. Originally hailing from Manchester, the group is led by the creative core of Katherine Parlour and Ella Risi, later rounding out the sound with Michael Nash and Sian Lynch. They’ve managed to carve out a specific niche that feels like a throwback to 70s rock’n’roll, often described through the lens of Katherine’s vocals—which carry a hint of Amy Winehouse—and guitar work that echoes the heavier riffs of Led Zeppelin. They gained some early traction after being championed by Courtney Love, which set the stage for the release of their debut full-length project.

The performance will centre on material from that debut album, The Parlour, which arrived in November 2025. If you’ve been following their singles, you’ll likely hear "Norwegian Wood"—a song famously inspired by the Haruki Murakami novel—alongside "Used To Be Your Girlfriend". Joining them for the night is Aimée Fatale, who is providing the support. The pairing makes sense given the band's affinity for indie-rock and the stylistic nods to Northern Soul culture. It’s a solid lineup for anyone who prefers their rock with a bit of grit and a clear sense of melody, rather than just noise for the sake of it.
The venue choice, The Green Door Store, fits the band's current trajectory. Located at 2, 3, 4 Trafalgar Arches, it’s that familiar spot right underneath Brighton station. With a capacity of about 300, it’s small enough that you can actually see what’s happening on stage without needing a screen. The show is scheduled to start at 19:30. In terms of cost, tickets are being listed at different points; some sources show £12.50 while others are at £13.75, so it’s best to treat those figures as a general guide. It’s a standard mid-week show in a grassroots space, offering a chance to see how the new album tracks translate to a live setting in an environment that suits their aesthetic.
