A collection of short films exploring marine life, ocean conservation, and seafaring adventures, presented by the team behind the Banff Mountain Film Festival.
The Ocean Film Festival World Tour is back at the Brighton Dome on Wednesday 7 October, with a new line-up of short films. It's put on by the same team behind the Banff Mountain Film Festival UK & Ireland tour, so if you've seen that one, you'll know the format: a collection of the world's most incredible ocean films, with shorts that combine breathtaking marine life and wild seafaring voyages.
The programme this time around ranges from record-breaking expeditions, including the world's longest raft journey, to portraits of people who've dedicated their lives to protecting the planet's blue spaces, and from extreme watersports to marine conservation stories. The films on the bill are Stone Biter, The Raftsmen, The Kelp Collector, Granny Grommets, Tides of Life and Ride of a Lifetime.
Beyond the screen, the night brings together the local ocean-loving community to celebrate the wonders and the fragility of the oceans, with the festival on a mission to spark discussion about conservation, adventure and our relationship with the sea. It's a 12A age guidance, and no unaccompanied under 14s.
